The game
Skypeek is a free mobile game. You aim your phone’s camera at the planes flying by and catch them as cards. You collect them, trade them with your friends, sell them on the market for Miles, and play duels.
Skypeek is published by EI Eliam Detoh, 47 rue Vivienne, 75002 Paris.
By creating an account, you accept these terms and the privacy policy.
Your account
- One account per person, and one person per account.
- Your player name and your password are yours. Don’t share them: what is done with your account is your responsibility.
- Skypeek is open to anyone aged 13 or over. Under 15, you need a parent’s consent.
Playing fair
The server checks every catch. The plane must be flying within 40 km of you. Your location must be real and accurate enough. A simulated location is rejected, and so is a location that jumps too far from one catch to the next. The pace stays human: one catch every 5 seconds, the same plane once a day.
Not allowed:
- fake locations: location-spoofing apps, tampered GPS, emulators;
- tools that play for you or modify the app, and exploiting loopholes;
- extra accounts to earn Miles or cards.
If you cheat, we can take away cards or Miles, and suspend or close the account.
Cards and Miles
- Cards, Miles and everything you win in the game are virtual. They have no monetary value.
- Miles can’t be bought. They are earned by playing and can only be used in the game.
- Nothing is sold for real money: not cards, not Miles, not accounts. This also applies outside the app.
- A duel can be played with a stake of 10 to 100 Miles, between friends, at most once a day between two players. The winner gets both stakes minus a tenth; a draw gives the stakes back. They are only Miles: no duel makes anyone win or lose money.
- Rarities, prices and rules may change to keep the game balanced.
Good conduct
- Your player name must not insult, shock or incite hatred, nor impersonate someone, or Skypeek.
- Don’t put personal information in it: full name, address, phone number.
- Respect the other players in trades and duels.
We can rename or close an account that doesn’t follow these rules.
Your safety first
- Never look at the sky or at your phone while driving, cycling or crossing the street.
- Stay aware of what is going on around you.
- Never enter a restricted area: runways, fenced-off airport grounds, private land, military zones.
- Follow the rules of airports and airspace.
- No drones to get close to planes. Never point a light or a laser at a plane.
- Aim at the sky, not at people.
A game that evolves
Skypeek is a young game. We can add, change or remove features, and stop the service. Before it stops, we will let you know in the app, as early as possible.
The aircraft data come from public sources. They can be incomplete, late or wrong. Skypeek is a game: it is neither a navigation tool nor an air safety tool.
Liability
The game is provided free of charge, as is. We do our best to keep it working, without guaranteeing that it is always available or free of errors. We are not liable for lost cards or Miles, nor for any use of the game that goes against these rules.
Nothing here limits your rights as a consumer, nor our liability where the law forbids limiting it.
Closing an account
You can delete your account whenever you want. We can suspend or close an account that breaks these rules. Where possible, we tell you why.
Map data
The map’s airfields (runways, lights, terminals) come from open data: © OpenStreetMap contributors (ODbL licence), the French SIA (aeronautical information service) and OurAirports. The base map is Apple Maps on iPhone and Google Maps on Android, credited on the map.
Changes
These terms may change. The new version is published here with its date, and any important change is announced in the app. If you keep playing, you accept the new version.
Governing law
These terms are governed by French law. If there is a disagreement, write to us first: we will look for an amicable solution. Failing that, the French courts have jurisdiction, subject to the rules that protect consumers.
